Hello all!

I managed to get a PS3 flown over from Japan with the intention of sellign it on eBay but have been informed that they wont allow me to sell on the UK site. Does anyone knwo a way round this, or am I going to have to asdvertise locally?

I'd use it myself but I need a transformer for the voltage and dont fancy waiting a week to get one off eBay or trapsing around the shops looking for one.

Cheers!

Sell it on Craigslist. Honestly state that you will sell to the highest bidder. Craigslist doesn't have any rules, just cautions.

List it as somthing that loads of people will look at.... like a ps2 then only put it on there for a day with a reserve of like 600-700 Quid by the time that ebay have noticed that it is a ps3 you will have sold it.... In the Title make it so people have to look... But then in the discription put that it is a PS3 and you might just get away with it!!!! Give it a go!

From my understanding of Sony's copyright laws in japan, you cannot sell their merchandise outside of the region that it was intended. This is to prevent early release in other country's.

So, technically it is against their copyright law to import it with the sole intent to resell it else where. My recommendation is to hang onto it for personal use or just wait a while

LMAO! Probably the same reason I can't sell my laughter on Ebay: Government regulations!

Why is ebay (or anyone else for that matter) regulating the price for selling an item?? If someone wants to buy it and someone wants to sell it, then that's all that matters. It's really no one else's concern as to how much is paid.

The actual way round it is to label it as a used or second hand PS3

You cant put it on their because America hasnt released them yet.But i think you should keep it!

Ebay sides with America so if they havent released a product SOMEWHERE in America they arent going to let you sell it

Well in America there was a major crackdown because people were just buying ps3's then selling them to make profit. so .co.uk didn't allow this.
