I am currently trying to get pregnant. I have been off my birth contrplol now for 3 and 1/2 months. How long did take you (females only) to get prenant after getting off birth control?

I was on the pill for 8 years and finally got off in Feb. I have been trying to conceive since and have had no luck. If I would have known, I would have got off the plan a long time ago. I think it takes time for your body to get back to normal. Keep trying and don't give up. I haven't given up yet but I am starting to get really frustrated.

Depends on how long you were on it - but the standard is between 4 and 6 months for your hormones to return to normal. Don't worry you are on track. It can happen at anytime as long as you are relaxed. Try a sexy weekend or other fun tactic (remember these are few and far between after baby) so kick up your heels and have fun. When people tell me they are "working" at getting pregnant - I always say "nice work if you can get it". Good Luck!

With my first child I was only off for about a month and a half. Currently trying right now and have been off for almost 4 and half months.

Every woman's body is different some can get pregnant right when they get off of it and some may take longer. Don't get stressed out and make sure you have sex during ovulation. It'll happen for you know it! Good Luck!

I was able to get pregnant in the few week following coming off the pill three times around, that why I was on the pill I get pregnant so easily.

3 months for me but most women get pregnant by about 6 months. Your body has to start ovulating again and it takes awhile to get your cycle back on track sometimes.

i went off birth control in april but we were using condoms til end of july
end of august i was already 4 weeks pregnant

my manager's wife took less than a month, my step-sister was STILL on the pill, but most of the time its around 6 months.
just keep trying. its fun to try

it took my sis about 2 months but she is having complications tho i would wait bout three months to make sure everything will be okay
