They do make an acrylic nail remover.( purchase at a good pharmacy or beauty supply) You can do it yourself or you can have it done at the salon. You can also soak your fingers in Acetone polish remover. That will also melt the acrylic.Soak for about five min., Scrape it off with an orangewood stick(wooden cuticle pusher) then file them on top a bit and if acrylic is still on your nails soak them again and scrape and fileagain and repeat proscess till it is gone. It should not hurt!

You can soak your nails in nail polish remover. It needs to contain Acetone so that it breaks down the acrylic. Once you have soaked them for 15 minutes or longer, you can then peel them off with little or no pain or tearing of your own nails. My manicurist does this for me.

Or if you have little patience and high tolerance for pain just rip them off.

Soak them in nail polish remover that contains acetone, or go to a beauty supply store and buy pure acetone that is what the pros use.

Definitely don't listen to shortcake. You can either go to a salon and have them remove them or soak them in acetone nail polish remover until you feel them loosening and then you can take them off.
