20% of women stop getting their period after 1 year of having Mirena so you were the lucky 20% The weight gain can be very well normal but not related to the IUD the IUD does not cause weight gain. Pregnancy rate on the IUD (models after 2000) is a 0.1% and with tubal ligation pregnancy rate is 0.5% So Mirena is the closest to 100% you can get out there. best of luck test if it will ease your mind

For some women their periods stop completely while using the IUD, and usually when that happens you tend to put on a little weight as well

Better have it checked out, I've heard of Babies being born with the IUD in there hand at delivery. Good Luck.

firstly is it a mirena? becasue periods stopping are a normal side effect for that
if not you need to take a test immediately, you can get pregnant (only abstinence is 100%) but it has very serious consequences if you do
