his defense has 30 days to appeal, thats from the time of the end of the trial so until about late january. if they appeal and its denied then saddam will be hung around mid february.....and good riddance to bad rubbish.

Saddam isn't that much different from Bush, Blair, ands our idiot, Harper...and the Israeli one is no better. I hope he will not hang although he has committed crimes worthy of more than one execution. What about those, in particular the American administration who supported him into power and becoming the monster he became. What about the American rulers who gave him the poisonous gases, and the WMD to kill hundreds of thousands of Iranians?! Why can't you wake up, the likes of Hitler and Bush and Sharon, etc.can't become mass killers without a whole lot of people putting them into office.

No. He has the right to appeal the sentence. If he is unsuccessful then he has to be hanged within 30 days of the denial of his appeal. If he is executed it won't be until after the first of the year.

Media will make sure everyone on Earth will know when he is hanged. I am sure CNN and others will be totally occupied for at least a week when it happens.
