Yes it's possible but not in the way you think. I travel back all the time. I simply have to close my eyes to relax and then I can recall all the good old days, which weren't actually all that long ago. I can see myself flying through the air back to my home town where I have several places I like to visit. Tranquil spots where no one will ever find me. Then I can sit there, close my eyes and think deeper. It's amazing how relaxed you can feel in these states and your mind is open to all sorts of suggestions.
Of course, there are limitations. For example, you can't go back further than you can remember. But suppose you're only 10 years of age and you remembered every single second of your life up until then - that's still an awful lot of memory, which also means an awful lot of places you can visit.

Yes & No ! Time & Space are two co-related terms that are totally relative to one`s perception. When you look at a star in the night sky you`re are actually watching an image millions of yrs old in Real Time. So apparently you`re gone back in time millions of yrs, bcos that star you`re looking at now in real time may not exist anymore at present. However you`ll never be able to change ( add or subtract ) any phenomenon that has already occurred in the past contrary to the common Si Fi beliefe that if you are able to go back in time you can change ( edit or delete ) some scenes from the past , No way !
The working principle, relativity & physics of time & space which`s still not constant even in our visible universe may not be the same in some other universe. So ultimately its our perception that`s playing a major role here than the phenomenon happened , happening or will happen . 1 day some where else ( other Universe ) could be 1000 yrs or 5000 yrs here to our count.
There`s no known science to humans that can describe a Speed more than the speed of light or a dimension more than than 3D or less than 2D. If we could break these mistry may be your question be answered in great detail.

Mathematically, it is possible. It's just not probable. The problem arises from the need to travel at the speed of light, at which any matter becomes energy and is destroyed.
Also, if time travel will ever be possible, it already is possible. And since we cannot travel in time nor have we been visited by people from the future, logic tells us it's never going to happen.

Not in the way you are thinking but if you travel to australia or from australia to here or something, mabye that would count as there is a 12 hour time difference.
Appart from that i doubt we ever will because whats done is done basically. Even if we could travel back to dinosaurs we could stand on one little creature and completely change the future.

, if you travelled faster than the speed of light you could in theory go back in time , or buy a fluxcapasitor and fit it to a delorian pass 10,000 gigawatts of power through it and bobs your uncle your going back in time , personally i dint think time really exists at all , if it did it would suggest there is a beginning and end to the universe , which doesn't make sense , it makes more sense to me that everything has been here all ways , in a perpetual state of change, the reason we relate to time is because owere lives are so short.probably a good reason not to read this reply

depending on where you are. if you are in New York at 12 am. you can go back one day if you really quickly go to California where it is 9 pm the day before. but other than that no. there is a line on the globe where the earth has two days. like the new york example. but if the concorde plane was still working--it is the fastest plane in all the world it can get you places fast--- then you could get to where ever you need to go to travel back in time by going across the dateline.

Yes perfectly possible. You need to go to the bottom of your garden, draw a chalk circle, close your eyes and turn around 3 times, while repeating the date you want to travel back to. when you open your eyes, you'll have been transported. It'll still be the bottom of your garden, but it will be on the date you requested. Unfortunately the magic breaks when you leave that chalk circle.

According to John Tifor - it was definitely possible, he claimed to be from an alternate future and cam e back in time to pick up an IBM processor.
Fascinating stuff.
Another thought when the universe stops expanding, does time go backwards...enough to stop you sleeping...better off with a double voddie.

As a concept in relativity, it could be possible for things to travel backwards and forwards in time relative to time as we perceive it. It's unlikely that living things will ever be able to travel back in time.
