well if you are in the uk, you can buy a phone, making sure that the phone is open to your network.
when i bought my phone, i really liked this one phone and hunted to find the cheapest one. the cheapest one was on another network so my sim wouldnt have worked in it.
you could either get your sim transferred to the other network meaning you keep your number, but as you are on like the minutes on your contract the best thing to do is to find a phone and get it unlocked, which costs around £10 in most phone shops and then your sim should work on it just fine. hope that helped.

Most phones do allow for the interchanging of the sim. I have used mine in 4 phones now. All different brands. Just make this a requirement when you shop for the new phone.

Course you can, I use virgin & keep my original sim, but change the phone when I need to, Virgin tend to give extra airtime when you dont need a sim

you can get a new fone if it is on the same network as your sim card but if the fone is locked to another network, you will need to get it unlocked

so long as the phone is enabled (or unlocked) for the same network then there should be no problem.

Ooh, no! That's highly illegal, and if you even think about it again the CIA will come and kick your door in and drag you away for Cultural Reassigment, so watch it!
