in that industry the pay varies...i was an admin assist for a custruction equip co...my pay was about $14/hr...this is in the Dallas, TX area...I have heard that site managers in the area are about $5-6 more/hr depending on the company

In California the average pay would be between $30,000 -$45,000, depending on your experience and the size of the company.

I don't know where you live but the average rate of pay for an office position in Vermont is $16.99/Hour.
