why would that be rude? It is their wedding, they can do what they want. Those who waited all day for a glimpse are stupid for wasting their time.

I wouldnt so much blame it on Katie as I would Tom. Katie has been brainwashed by Tom's insane Scientology. I really cannot believe how a person can buy into such crap in the first place, but whatever. Nothing that these Goddamn celebrities do surprises me anymore. We are in an unprecedented time of social and political apathy in our country, and people are worried about what kind of condoms Katie and Tom use. Its nothing more than an escape and a distraction.

What's so wrong with 2 people being in love, and wanting to cement that love with a marriage??? Yes, they maybe should have acknowlegdged the people that were waiting to see them, but why is their relationship rude & disgusting??????

I've been with my partner about the same amount of time that Tom & Katie have been together and we are as much, if not more, in love with each other than they are!! So what if he wants to jump on sofas and kiss her in public?? Why can't people just leave them alone. I really hope they are happy together.

A little bit maybe. I don't like either one of them really as people. But I do understand that this is a private day and that they would like to keep some things special and private, They do not owe anything to the people of the country that they got married in. Why should they have to say a greeting? People get married on Islands, other countries, even in the air While jumping out of planes. Those common people don't give any special thanks to their hosts, why should they be expected to. People are way too worried with what these people do with THEIR lives. Just because they are rich and famous doesn't mean that we have to all live vicariously through them,.Some people need to get their own lives.

Absolutely, but what do you expect from two people who are too self involved and in love with themselves? Of course, they are not going to acknowledge anyone else around them...they have MUCH more important things to think about...like wasting money on a stupid wedding!!!

It would have been nice if they had in the days before the wedding but lets face it. It was THEIR wedding day and not a day to sighn autographs. And fyi I do not like them but I thing the wedding day celeb or not is a day for the bride and groom and if they do not say hello to every one that is ok

The whole situation is rude.....although, it's not Katie's fault really since she is hypnotized for life by Scientology. And Tom is just weird!

Tom Cruise has enough money to buy Italy. I suppose it is up to him whether to wave and schmooze with the crowds or not. In this day and age--who would want to anyway? It would take one sniper to turn it all into a tragedy.
