Offer your services to local DIY centres as people often want "immediate" home delivery of bulky items - xmas trees / furniture etc.

Contact local breakdown recovery companies especially police contractors. Try van hire companies as well that deal with businesses and delivery of vehicles to client. Chances are that they are struggling at this time of year due to weather and are always on the look out for drivers short term.

Delivery service for Thanksgiving dinners; you could offer to pick up last minute items and deliver them to homes for a fee (Oh No! I forgot the cranberries!!!);
You can pick up peoples packages to be mailed at UPS or the Post OFfice, or for people who don't have vehicles, you can take them AND their packages to be mailed (since you have plenty of room). If you can't find a way to make some money, consider delivering meals on wheels and that sort of thing. You can also offer rides to nearby towns or cities, aka taxi rides, for groups. You can be hired in the evenings for parties of drinking passengers and be an DD escort around town.

Go to your local transport company,City Link,DHL,TNT etc,from now to Christmas they are all flat out,I have two friends working for them at the minute and they get about £150 a day for using their own van,it wont make you a fortune but it would help pay the vans and wages rather than pay men for sitting idle !
Good luck !

Try Mr S Claus, The North Pole. I hear he's had to lay off the elves cos they were demanding healthcare and pension rights.

Collect seaweed and good looking stones from the nearest bit of coast. Sell them to gardeners.
Buy bulk wood, saw it into logs, deliver to people for Christmas.

Advertise a 'tidying service'.
Lots of people want their grass cut and leaves tidied up before winter sets in properly.
