try to avoid taking any form of drug as these tend to make you drowsy, try extract of ginger, or just eat a few ginger biscuits and order a ginger ale from the flight bar.
A good alternative, and one that I personally recommend, is wearing anti travel-sickness wristbands.
These apply slight pressure to the inside of your wrist - and really work - but if you don't want to wear them, just apply the pressure yourself with your other thumb. Place two fingers across your inner wrist, and the pressure point is just below.
This method is good for relieving any nausious moment, not just motion sickness

There are lots of placebo tablets on the market, about the only sure way to get over it is to convince yourself that the lack of motion your body is sensing while watching the video is real and valid. I spent a lot of years in the Navy, also have a pilots license, though for me I loved the mixed up sensation of an unstable platform from as far back as I can remember. A good way is perhaps to get someone to drive you around in a car, sit in the passenger seat blindfolded for as long as you can stand it. Tell yourself that what your body is feeling is fun, relaxing, and enjoy the experience. That said, there were a few military guys that were sick even after years at sea.

Dramamine is the best over the counter medication, and eating something before going. Sleeping is also a good remedy for motion sickness. This is what I try.

Take ginger (capsules).
It doesn't have the extreme drowsy side effects like actual medications.
As a warning, ginger can be a bit spicy so if you don't enjoy a kick, avoid extracts and gums. Capsules are fine, though - no heat.

I think your best thing to overcome motion sickness is to move around, walk a touch keep you joints in motion the more bloodflow you have the less likely you are to be motion sick, drink water, juices, stay away from alcohol it'll make you worse. You dont need over the counter medication. Keep yourself occupied with other things and if you still feel a little ill dab your face with a bit of cold water. If all this fails take a nap.
