I have 6 lbs to go to reach my pre-pregnancy weight, but I'm starting to worry that getting to that weight won't be enough to get me back into my old clothes. Did your hips go back to their old size after you lost the weight? I'm most concerned about my hips/thighs/stomach area...

in my case, my hips stayed a little wider,,,,,,,that was cool for me, as i was always too thin,,,,, but the difference shouldnt be much at all, maybe an inch or so,,,,,dont know how long its been since you gave birth, but do give it time,,, probably 6 months or more, for things to tone back up, even after the weight is gone,,,, your body went threw some major changes!

I think it really depends on your body, what you eat and how much you exercise ans are committed to getting back into those old clothes. I gained 40 pounds with my son, i know a lot, but i lost every bit of the weight i put on plus ten pounds more. I got back into my old size jeans even though my hips were a little bigger. I actually got complements on the hips from my friends that were less curvy. So yes you can fit back into your old clothes but it depends on how well your committed to it. What i did was keep my old jeans and every time i would lose some weight i would try a pair on to see how much weight i needed to lose to fit back in them, it worked and i was in great shape. Some people couldn't believe i had a child at all which made me feel pretty good. Even though your hips may have stretched that doesn't mean it's a bad thing!

If your hips widened while you were going through puberty, they are less likely to widen very much more during pregnancy. But if you were fairly box shaped before pregnancy and then noticed your hips seemed bigger after, then they probably will stay that way. I doubt you would be able to fit into your prepregnancy jeans again if the main problem is your hip bones. You may have to lose even more fat around your bottom then before to reach that goal.

Maybe. It takes a while to get back to normal even after you lose the weight. For quite a while my hips were wider after I got lower than my prepregnancy weight, but now I am in an even smaller size than before my two kids were born. Good luck.

Being a mother of four and now I'm 46, I certainly got back into my preprego clothes each time. It will take a bit longer because of your hips and depending on your age thats a factor. But if it was quick losing the weight then you should be good to go!! The hips wont always go EXACTLY back to the way they were. But close enough , Good luck

It depends. I just got back to by pre-pregnancy weight, but my pre-pregnancy jeans don't fit yet. Their are too tight through the hips, so I assume my pelvic bones stayed further apart after the baby was born. But my some of my other clothes fit fine. You'll just have to wait and see. And, hey, if they don't fit, you get new clothes AND a baby! :-)

You will find that you are bulging in places that you used to be flat, such as your tummy and your breasts., and even hips. You can do spot reductions on some of those areas. Ask your personal fitness trainer.

most likely. but sometimes your hips stay a bit wider, making it a little difficult to wear them comfortably ;)

You spread during pregnancy so you migh take off a few extra pounds if you can do. It took me years to get my pregnancy weight off.
