Yesterday I was on yahoo answers when all of a sudden my computer moniter turned yellow. You can still see everything it's just that the entire screen is a very strong yellow color. Kinda like the color of urine. I turned it off all night long and when I turned it on this morning it's still yellow. I don't know why it did this or how to fix it and I really need your help. I don't wanna go off buying a new one when there is a way to fix this one. PLEASE HELP.

If you have a CRT monitor check out the cables on the back making sure nothing is just loose. If everything looks ok back there then your monitor lost the red and blue color somehow.

If you are using an LCD I have no answer for that since I haven't heard how that would happen.

hi, dont worry listen................ these things happen :). ok here is the list of things you can do.

1. Get another Moniter Form somebody just to check that if this is moniter Problem or the card.

2. If the Yellow things goes away with the other moniter then Buddy you have to change the moniter or repair it

3. If the yellow things remains then if you can see what you are doing then go to safe mode by pressing F8 when bootinng. and uninstall the Graphics card Driver or VGA

4. Reinstall it again

5. Still no luck then check your Graphics card if its not lose or swap your Graphics card with somebody just for a check.

But my sixth sense says its your moniter problem. Anyways hope this answers your questions. GOOD LUCK.

Assuming a CRT monitor, likely cause is a dry solder joint. Last one I has with yellow fever was fixed temporarily by a good smack on both sides of the case at the same time. Do not remove the case unless you know what you are doing as there are dangerous high voltages present, even with power off.

Particularly if not even colour distortion, you might look for a degauss function via the monitor buttons, move such as large loudspeaker away or try in a different position in a room/house, in case of interference by external magnetic fields.

You might also try re-seating the graphics card (unplug/plug) and monitor cable - at least waggle it.
