have any of you seen those infomericals for "sheer cover" or bare minerals" powder makeup that seems to cover up anything? i was just wondering if it really is as good as they say? even though there is a money-back guarantee i don't want to spend $60 for nothing. thanks.

I use BE and love it! The 60.00 kit comes with a DVD you can watch to learn how to use it. Like another poster said Sephora sells it and they will do a make-over using it in store so you can see it on you. Also a lot of day spas sell it as it is a good clean make-up...that is where I got hooked on it. The Day Spa near where I live sells it. My sister-in-law and mother now use it and they love it also.

First thing to consider, it is an "INFO-MERCIAL" which means it is shot, edited and then aired, so don't believe all the claims. Secondly I would find someone you know maybe two or three friends and go together to buy it then you can all try it and see if it works. Or, you can take my word for it and try Arbonne, I never used to wear foundation because it always made me look greasy before the end of the day. Arbonne has a powder foundation that is applied the same way bare minerals is, using a big brush. I love this stuff, it covers, and I get compliments all the time from people telling me skin just glows. I am over 50 and have several age/sun spots. Check it out at www.arbonne.com

I have used both of these brands and I did not like them. Unlike what they say in the commercials, the products are not pure. Bare Escentuals is worse than Sheer Cover. Ask how many people have allergy to BE. You will be surprised that almost 60% of the consumers had an itching reaction to this product, mainly because of Bismuth. If a product contains Bismuth, it is not pure. Also, the prices are ridiculous. Try everydayminerals.com. This company sends samples for free and the prices are 1/6 of the BE and SC. These minerals are pure and so gentle to your skin. If you want a good coverage, look into their Intensive formula. This is the best powder that I have ever used-

My mom got me addicted to Bare Minerals! It really does cover so well! And not only that, but it doesn't clog pores or make skin greasy, so it helps reduce acne. My mom has been using it for a few years, and her skin has cleared DRAMATICALLY since she started, and so has mine, I've been using it for 9 months or so. That is the only one I can definately say does work!

If you have a Sephora's store which are in malls, you can test it out in there store. Bare has good coveral and a great finish only if you have normal to oily skin. If you have dry skin its not good to use. Not only will your skin absorb its color but it will dry out your skin even more as the day goes on. Other then that, its a good product.

I think u wouldnt know until u try it urself. try asking friends or family members that used it before. check out their skin tone and tally with ur own. i think that is the only way to find out if it is really that good and suitable for u. it will also require alot of work as starters as u need to get a whole set of skincare to sustain the effects. but i believe all is worthwhile for the confidence and satisfaction.

They really are. i use it everyday. i have HORRIBLE skin and it doesn't make me break out. they have a set for like $60 right now that i just bought. it has all the brushes in it and the brushes alone are worth that. a crappy brush is really annoying and doenst spread evenly. (i am buying the set for my mom and sister too!)

I'm not sure how good they work, but you can buy it on ebay for less than it's sold on TV
