Well, when Elvis the four legged furry bastard decided to use my brand spanking new $125 Doc Marten's as a scratching post, I screeched at him in a tone that was so loud and high pitched, I think only the dogs in the neighborhood could hear it, especially since he turned and looked at me over his shoulder while he was still scratching! I kept yelling, and then I threw a magazine in his general direction (not at him) and chased him around. Every time I wear those damn shoes, all I can see is that big scratch mark on the stupid toe of the right shoe.
