Proactiv! This stuff really works. My teenage son had a lot of pimples and redness on his face and neck. He used Proactiv and in one week, he noticed a difference. First, he had no more redness and then noticed that he had no more new pimples. And, the Proactic treatment had dried up the old pimples and left no scars! For a boy, his skin is smooth and beautiful. This stuff is a miracle, especially for those teenage years when kids really break out. Now, I use Proactiv (I'm 48 years old!) just to keep my skin smooth and free from any breakouts that might happen. Just remember to use this treatment daily! You can use it twice a day, but I found that it almost makes your skin too dry, especially after your skin has mostly cleared up. I thought this stuff was a little expensive, but for a clear and smooth face, it's worth every penny!

I know what your going through! well there is this cream called " Acne - n - Pimple " cream by Doctor Kohli. Yahh, you might not know where to get it. So theres another method. TOOTHPASTE! .. You might've not heard about it before, but it works! But get a toothpaste without any mint flavour. But all you do is take a little toothpast dap it on the pimple and let it sit there for 30mins apprx. then wash it off. It won't just vanish outta thin air, but if you continue to do it, it should work. But rememeber - NO MINT - otherwise it might burn the skin. Another thing you can try is boil water until its really hot , but ofcourse not hot enought to burn ur skin . and then take a cotton ball , sink a lil in the water and then put it on the pimple, all the dirt should come out . and if THAT doesnt work. get 2 bowls , one with hot water and one with Cold water with ice cubes . Rinse your face with the hot water and after splash ur face with cold water . The hot water will open the pores and clean them and then the cold water will quickly tighten your pores.
-- i basically wrote a bible =P , but i hope it helps!

First, use a cleanser for acne prone/oily skin. Second, use a toner. Third, apply some type of acne drying lotion after the toner dries. But be aware, with anything type of wash or cleanser, it might take a few weeks but you should see a decrease of acne soon. Also, if its just on your cheeks/sides, make sure you have a clean pillowcase (oil and bacteria can get on it and it actually causes more acne) when you sleep, wash your face after you sweat, and try not to touch your acne or pick at it.

I have used accutane. Worked like a charm, but is not permanent. I went about 4 years with little to no acne. Dr. is trying to avoid putting me back on it again since it is rather harsh on the body. So my dermatologist put me on Doryx pills and duac gel. Both are perscription only. But do the trick.

I had an adverse reaction to Proactive, since I have combo dry/oily skin that is super sensitive. So I use Murad products instead. They have a great acne line.

I would have to say ProActive for sure. If its only on your left and right side of your face, it could be your pillowcover. Try washing on a weekly or biweekly basis, or try a satin pillowcover that wont hold as much oils in it. I had the same problem when I was younger, and found that worked for me.

you should try using stuff that you can buy over the counter..like proactive, benzoil peroxide and salicylic acid. If those doesn't work, you can go to your doctor and they'll prescribe you medications like Tetracycline (which is an antibiotic also used for the treatment of pimples). Good luck!

i use tea tree oil at night. it kills the bacteria that causes it. it's best to put a little on before going to sleep because it gets OILY, obviously. also use acne cleansers, i like neutrogena. i've tried proactiv, but it made my skin really rough. toothpaste can also help with drying out pimples. if all else fails, go to your doctor and i'm sure he/she can prescribe some acne medication.
