ive had this for a while but it doesnt hurt. its numbness and tingling on my right tip of my 3 fingers nothing else it goes away when i shake my hand or massage it. it doesnt seem like carpal tunnel the feeling is not painful and no swelling. i had no other symptoms. 5yrs ago i had bells palsy and you could say i still do. its never been treated because i was pregnant. could that be a factor? what about high blood pressure or diabetes? that i know of i dont have it but could it be?

It is probably a disc problem in your neck. The area described is your C6 dermatome. It goes from your lat portion of your forearm, from your elbow to your thumb to the lat portion of your middle finger. It also could be a problem in your elbow or shoulder, but I would look to the neck. A herniated disk could put preasure on the nerve at the level of your spine causing numbness in those fingers. Find a chiorpactor or someone who specializes in the spine to find out. You may need an MRI to determine if it is or not. If it is, do not do surgery unless absoulutely necessary. Once they cut, they can never go back and back surgeries are rarely 100% successful. Start with the least invasive like chiropractic or traction and go from there. Good luck.

(edit) It may be carpal tunnel as the above have possibly indicated but this is more dermatomal then anything else. Look to the disk or conditions that cause impingement in the shoulder (nerves have to travel through alot to get to your fingers.

Pain relievers and muscles relaxants do nothing beneficial but cause you to irritate the area even worse then it is by overusing that which is hurt, (pain is simply and indication there is a problem. It is usually the last to come and the 1st to go in a problem, Just becaus there is no pain, does not mean the problem is gone. Look at cancer, most of the time there is no pain untill it is too late. Anti- inflams and MR just numb the area, make you goofy, and don't work esp MR. Ask any who have been on them.) and surgery for discs and carpel tunnel end up becoming a problem after a few years. Once the body is cut, scar tissue forms and ends up compresing the nerve again. Go with the safe and least invasive rout 1st, then on to the others.

You need to get this checked out as something is causing nerves to be pinched making things go numb. Yes it could be carpel tunnel as the tingling and numbness are classic signs of this but get it checked and see what is going on.

This is most likely due to entrapment of the median nerve where it passes through the carpal tunnel of the wrist. They diagnosis may usually be made by physical examination and more expensive testing is generally reserved for those in whom surgery is being considered. If this interfers with activity anti inflammatory medications and muscle relaxants typically help. Some people benefit from wearing a wrist splint when the hand is not being used.

Alot of things can cause numbness in the fingers like that. fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, nerve damage etc. Do you have any other symptoms? You should see a doctor just to make sure it is no big deal.
