Can someone help me try to speed up my computer. I have tried everything I can think of, disk defragmenters, rebooting, is there any suggestions? Or should I just buy a new computer?

You can try running check dsk, by going to the dos prompt and typing in chkdsk /f, so that this will run the next time you restart your computer. You can also right click on your C: drive and click properties, then click disk cleanup. You can try upgrading your computer with more RAM if its upgradeable or uninstalling programs you no longer use. If you want to skip these steps then I would buy a new computer.

but u didnt tell what is the configuration and what version of os u r using???
fastness is not based on just processor or disk defragmentation or just booting it again and again....
please tell the complete configuration with os version and also tell what prog u are using and whether all prog u have installed are used by u daily??

sounds like a conflict in software somewhere, firefox isn't all it's cracked up to be anyway. try "AVANT BROWSER" which claims to be the fastest browser around !! it may of course be nothing to do with firefox software, it could be that a reinstall of firefox is needed
