A twist of fate is when the fate that you were expecting, or was going to happen, as the circumstances were at the time, change.

For Example:

* You are going to go to Oxford University, but you hit your head and are brain-damaged.

* Your are in World Trade Center and in collapses, and you expect to die. But someone pushes you into a stromng area of the building and you survive and are in the rubble,a nd get pulled out.

it is called miracle...
we all face such event at least once in life...
for example..you miss a bus..you were upset.
but that bus got accident on the way...all passengers died and you were not included...
