If you are putting it in then it must come out. Feed the baby every 2-4 hours. Listen to the baby it knows what and when. The most important thing for the child the first 7 years is sleep. New babies 18 hrs. or more. The only time the Growth Hormone is released is when the baby/child is sleeping. If you want to maximize growth then even in adolescence up to 18 should take a nap for a couple of hours each day. The benefits of such practice will show up between 50 - 70 years of age.

This is probably perfectly normal for your grand daughter. Some newborns will have a bowel movement at every feeding and some will go a day or 2 between bowel movements. Every baby's system is different just like every adults is. As long as your granddaughter is eating fine, does not seem to be in any type of discomfort, and is growing, then frequent bowel movements are fine.

IF she is eating a lot and having bowel movements a lot that is very normal. Breast fed or bottle? If breast fed it normal for a baby to have a bowel movement every time they eat. If bottle fed, just ask the doctor could be an issue with the formula, could be very normal depends on the consistency and stuff

The more frequent feedings will result in more frequent bowel movements. Especially if she is breastfeeding.(breastfeeding si always on demand) A smaller baby must be fed whenever they are hungry. Their smaller systems take less in and pass it faster. (it is less afterall) Then they need more. My nephew would have a bowel movement everytime he ate for te first 7 weeks. He is 8 now and quite healthy. (he was just over 5lbs at birth)

Depends on what you mean by a lot? 2,3, or even 4 times a day is normal. My 8 month old still has at least 2 or 3 BM's a day. Wouldn't worry unless she goes 3 or 4 day WITHOUT a BM.

I have 4 kids and have breastfed them all, my 6 month old pood every time she ate until she was 12 or so weeks old. if your breastfeeding your body will know exactly how much baby needs. baby might be nursing or eating for comfort too. If your bottle feeding be sure to burp a lot to expel air. A ouchie tummy can cause them to suckle for comfort too.

If she is nursing, the baby may have a bm with every feeding. The bm's are a method of making sure your baby is getting enough breast milk.
