Dell sells them around 300. But before you go and spend 300 dollars understand that it will not be fast and will act like a older computer in speed. This is how they are able to sell it under 300.
I agree with the above post. You should really wait and save up for it because nothing sucks more then waiting for a computer to finnish loading. Anything above 800 should be aright.

Good computers are priced between $1500 and $3000 including monitor. An average computer runs between $800 and $1500. Anything less then $800 is going to be so outdated and worthless in a year that you won't even be able to surf the web with it.
Think about what is about to happen in the computer industry: They are about to introduce a processor with "Quad Core" architecture. And they are about to release Windows Vista a true 64 bit operating system. Most machines, even current top end systems are going to be out paced so fast it is going to make peoples heads spin.
If you want this machine for personal everyday use and don't mind it being a dust collector next year then by all means buy it. But if you want to be able to use it for at least a couple of years then save up some more money.

Geek Squad are the biggest ripoff artists in the international. They overcharge for each little thing. attempt to locate a close-by pc shop and get a quote from them to interchange the demonstrate screen, it is going to in all probability be lots greater life like. in case you are available with a screwdriver you additionally can basically purchase the panel your self (regularly approximately $a hundred-a hundred and fifty) and verify out to alter it your self. Your warrenty is expired besides so it is not comparable to you have something to lose. As a reference, a alternative pc might value between $4 hundred-six hundred for many human beings (it fairly relies upon on how effective of a alternative device you desire, it may be greater value-effective or dearer, i'm basically going by averages). So use that as a gauge for no count number if or no longer you desire to interchange the device.

Classifieds are a bit risky in my opinion as you never know what you are really going to get. Personally I would try tigerdirect.com, using a quick search ( http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/category/category_slc.asp?Recs=10&Nav=|c:1873|lp:200:hp:499.99|&Sort=4 ) you will see some under 300$ mind you it would be difficult to find with monitor but hopefully that helps some.
