You have a $10 Federal Reserve Note. There are series 1934 the 1934A-1934D. There were also 2 over prints due to the war one is Hawaii the other North Africa. There are also star notes where before the serial number is a star instead of a letter. The most common note has a sell price of $30.00 in grade extremely fine to around $225.00 for the same grade, for a 1934B star note. This should give you an idea of price ranges. If you have an over print re-ask your question. Torn and really folded bills have some value but little.

yes people do collect them. what will help with the value is, condition, and who signed the note. try a search on a large on-line auction house, also search the completed auctions. this is good help in searching out old notes, but be-sure to check to see who signed them.
