Yeah, the one near my place of work's the same. I think it's because they're cheap labour, but I agree, they should be aware of the stock!

Perhaps for the same reason why you find the same in MacDonalds and Burger King?
It's because loads of Brits see a job like that as being below them, and it's far too easy to sit back, do nothing, and let the government (and all the tax paying people) give them an income. We should abolish unemployment benefit, and then we would see a rise in the numberof Bits working more menial jobs, such as working in Benjys!

To be honest, a friend of a friend owns a Benjys franchise and they do all the employee resourcing for that franchise. All you do is hand them a wad of cash. It must be a company policy or just like the food, cheap is cheerful...perhaps thats why they get foreigners who may be here on temporary visas or are travelling workers! ive never had a problem with them....

I have no issue with the employees being foreign, our families were all "foreign" here once, but for them to not know the store inventory? Not good. I don't care where you're from, but if you're supposed to be able to help customers then you better know your stuff!

If the lady over there did not understand your order she is on the other hand knows other things you probably do not know. Please be a little patient. People depend on each other.
Good Luck on your next attempt.
