Stick to tradition; when the kids beg you, talk about last year, talk about how and where you want to put the tree this year; let the anticipation build. Trust me, it'll make memories, and family traditions are great ways to build a strong family.
Happy Holidaze!

We usually put ours up around the second week of december when real trees start to make themselves available. Also, we try to prolong it just a bit because with the furnace on in the house, it dries out the needles really quickly but usually if the tree is good and fresh, the second week of december is a good time and it usually stays very strong right out until january 1 when we take it down.

I have already seen homes that have all their outdoor Christmas lighting on already in the middle of November - trees, Santas, candy canes, etc. That is way too early if you ask me. When I was a kid, my parents would put up a (real) Christmas tree one week before Christmas and take it down on January 2nd. Many people have artificial trees now so I would say put it up two weeks before Christmas and take it down on January 2nd. Happy Holidays!

Always a day or two after Thanksgiving. Otherwise, the Holiday season will be all about Christmas only. My kids have always understood this. It also makes them fonder for Christmas since it is always after Turkey Day. My wife and I don't even start talking about Christmas until the Turkey Day calories have settled in...

I did it earlier than usual this year. I put it up over the weekend basically because it was the only weekend (before Christmas) that I had the free time to do it.
I usually do it the last weekend of November or first weekend in December.

My tree is already up. I love this time of year. I also love walking in my fron door and seeing the tree and all of the decorations. It just puts me in the Christmassy spirit more than I already am if possible. However, there are only 35 days left until Christmas!

I generally put my Christmas Tree up on Thanksgiving after the meal.....it keeps us awake. However, this year I was very tempted to put it up on the 15th of November....but I think I can wait just a little longer.

My trees have been up for about 2 weeks now. My kids were doing the same thing so I just gave in and I love it too.
They have a tree in there room decorated with the ornaments they pick out each year and then we have one in the living room.

2 weeks prior if it is a real tree, then it doesn't get as dried out. Take down first weekend after New Year.
