Dec. 25 and it continues to the Epiphany on Jan. 6

the 12 days stretch (theoretically) to Jan. 6 (it's actually 13 days. some real nimrod counted 12).

Jan. 6 is traditionally another holy day (in eastern Orthodoxy, it's their Christmas. In RC, it's something else, but I forget what)
