Unfortunately, my PC is infected. It says "Trojan Virus" but to my surprise, I don't believe thats it, I have a FireWall, I have Virus Protector, but when I start it up, a few minutes later it crashes. Is this a virus or something else?

AVG is very good w/trojans. Go to www.grisoft.com and download the free version.

I think if you boot to safe mode your comp will stay on and you should run AVG in safe mode anyway. Do this by continuously tapping F8 as you turn your comp on. If you see the Windows Flag you have gone too far and need to reboot again. The menu and options come up in black and white.

You first try to carryout system restore to a day previous to the day when there was no virus. You have to decide the date. The problem will be solved. Then,You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at
http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html
After running the virus scan delete all temprory internet files including off line content and also unwanted files and temp. files. Finally, carryout a defragmentation . Your system will be back to the normal...!

First I would like to send you a link rating computer antivirus programs, as you can see virus protector is not even listed.
I recommend you download a dependable anti virus, personally I prefer Avast, I have had it installed for about six months and have had no problems, I used to have AVG but found some flaws that avast didn't have.

What says "Trojan Virus"?

If it's a reputable virus checker, maybe you got the virus before it had the latest virus definitions, that aided your finding it.

Look up the details of the trojan, then look up a solution online using it's name.

use bitdefender scan online it will find it and remove it, it is free, it takes about 2 hours or more but is worth it, run it when you are doing something else. After that download free spybot and free adaware, run them once a week. good luck.
