Some of the scariest movies I've seen are older movies. The new ones are all just blood guts and gore, and not actually "scare the bejeezus out of ya" scary.

These ones gave me the creeps and still do when I watch them:

Alien
The Thing (the John Carpenter version)
Prince of Darkness
The Fog (the original with Jamie Lee Curtis)

In all honesty, the flicks that you're calling "previous" videos are honestly new videos as far as horror videos flow. in my opinion, new videos seriously is unable to extremely degree as a lot as new ones. more recent videos, like the ring, said, The Village, and, sure, even the Freddy and Jason videos, position self assurance in low priced thrills to scare you. those videos are all about wonder value, unexpected movements, and gore. once you're searching for a very good, high quality scare, check out some genuine previous horror videos. My options might want to be any Alfred Hitchcock movie, to commence off with. honestly, purely artwork from there. The older horror videos couldn't position self assurance in unnecessary sex and violence to promote them, like extra cutting-part ones can. so that they extremely had to scare you. perhaps not the prompt gratification scare that comes from observing someone being tortured, yet the different scare. That one which comes overdue at nighttime, once you're all on my own...or once you're in a somewhat unusual motel room. contained in the destiny, a lot extra pleasant. of route, in case you won't be able to, or do not, experience like observing an previous movie, you may to boot check out 1408, between the few respectable horror videos made presently.

I love Rob Zombies movies - House of a 1000 Corpses. The follow up was Devil's Rejects, but I didn't think it was as good.
They are both scary and gory.
Enjoy!!!
