It happens. Sorry. At least there's music videos on Yahoo and Youtube for your non-country musical needs (I can send you a list of good ones if you'd like). Maybe you can check on how close you are to health food/vegetarian stores. Camping is relatively bearable if you can convince your fellow campers to do something that you also enjoy. Bring a good book (or five) and try to enjoy what you can. Good luck.

I'm NOT from the country, i'm from Long Island NY and I LOVE country music, i didn't like it till i turned 19, thats because i actually sat down and listened to it, now i'm a huge fan! its much better then that drugged up, sexist, violent rap crap, not everybody from the south HAS to like country music you know

folks are different...i spent time living in cities, the 'burbs, little towns, and in the boonies...love fishing, hunting, camping...prefer venison to beef anyday,,,my sisters can't stand the stuff, and their idea of 'roughing it is a motel without an indoor pool...now i live in the country and love it like crazy...and i've developed a taste for some country music...but i still love my rock & roll, jazz, blues, zydeco...anything but hip-hop, rap, disco...each to his/her own tastes...but as far as being a redneck...guilty as charged, and proud as punch!

My story is the same as yours! I hate country stuff and hunting and game meet also. The rest of my family had rather kill animals than have sex! Some of them even have sex WITH the dead animals! :(.....I just can't figure out how I turned out so good, when they are all so rotten!

I turned out very different from my family of origin.

Sometimes it just happens that way. Sounds like you learned how to think for yourself and followed a different path.

'Supposed to'??!?

Please. Your just different than them!

Why did Hitler, with Jewish heritage, not like Jews? Well, he was insane.

In your case, living in New Orleans dosen't mean I like seafood! We are all different.
