Like the other person said, it needs 6 sides, so decide on the size of each side first. Draw 4 squares next to each other. then above and below the 2nd square draw another square, now you have 6, cut out the 6 squares, not individually but right around the outside line. You will end up with a shape that looks like cross you see in a church! Now looking at the cross with the long side on the right. So you have blocks 1-4 across and 5 at the top of #2 and 6 at the bottom of #2. Fold the left block (1), the top (5) and the bottom block (6) 90 degrees towards block 2. Now fold the last 2 blocks (3 & 4) in one section 90 degrees towards block 2, now fold the remaining block (4) 90 degrees to complete the cube and tape it in position. Presto, you have a cube!

Well, a 3-D cube has six sides. So cut your paper out to look like a cross composed of 6 squares and put glue tabs around the edges of the cross to old it together. When you fold the cross up it will form a cube.

Basically as long as you have a line of sqares 4 long with a sqare attached on either side of that it will form into a cube even if they aren't formed into the shape of a cross.
