I recently stumbled across a shop that not only sells boiled sweets by imperial measure (quarter pound), but also sold TEXAN bars!!! I hadn't seen them since I was a kid in the 70's, so I bought half a dozen!
If you're into peanut butter again, try it with apple jam!
Difficult to get though, you might have to go to a Farmer's Market near you, but WELL worth it!
Don't eat too many Peanut Butter & Apple Jam sandwiches though... they are WAAAAY fattening!

Yeah. Try peanut butter with a thin smear of Marmite underneath. I hated Marmite before I discovered this - it makes a really lovely savoury snack. In fact, Sainsbury's used to market a savoury peanut butter that was peanut butter with yeast extract in it. It was how I discovered the taste about 20 years ago.

Steamed beet-greens. A bit like spinach, but sweet. I had a longing for it, so when we finally planted our own garden, I tried it again. I wasn't disappointed. (For those who are not familiar with this, you use the leaves of very young beets - when the root has not really turned into a beet yet. I take the leaves of those beets that I thin out, as they start to grow to thickly in the garden).

Refreshers. Those multi-coloured, fizzy little sweeties. Hadn't seen them in years and couldn't resist getting a packet when I spotted them this weekend. Back to childhood with nearly a whole pack in my mouth at once! Yum.

When we were young free and single I used to cook pasta with lentils and also peas with poached eggs. I know they both sound disgusting but we have had both in the past week following a severe bout of nostalgia and they tasted GREAT! Even better than we remembered.
Kids didn't like it though.

Nestles' strawberry Quik - aka 'bunnymilk'. For some reason, I got some of that a few months ago, and I'm still buying and drinking it now. Memories.....
