Nope, just sabotaged auctions. eBay is becoming an imposible place to do business. I saw one of the first ones go for $80 million. The guy who sold it will get a commission bill for about a million bucks - he should have fun with that.

First of all the overinflated prices on ebay are fake to make people nervous and overbid for something not worth it. It's this whole scenario is a supply and demand video game itself. Remember every computer product that has ever came out had the highest retail price when it just went on the market, then the new ones come out and replace the old. Now they have 60 GB, By the end of next year 120 GB will be out, refinince your homes and be ready folks.

You are correct. I think it is absolute baloney that they are allowed to do that to people, while I realize that people who have money to pay this crazy amount out, it just isn't fair to those that can't and that these people are allowed to go to the store purchase for the regular price and then re-sell the product. You'd think Ebay along with other selling outlets would stop it, but... then again..... I have to think of it this way (I am in the automotive business) and if I bought a car and could resell it without doing anything to it and make a huge profit, wouldn't I do it? hmmmmmmmm ........

No, nobody is paying that kind of cash for one. The highest I have personally seen on Ebay was $5700.00 sold last Thursday evening.

You have to understand that alot of people are upset that they cannot purchase one for a reasonable cost so many are creating one time fake ebay accounts and over inflating the ebay auctions to cause the auctioneer to lose out. There was one ps3 auction that went for $99,999,999.00.

No, that is not true..around here they are going for several thousand but nowhere close to 50,000. I do not know anyone who would spend that kind of money on their children or even themselves for something they can wait a few months to get at a regular or sale price! My friends have at least 1/2 a brain and would not do it...Simply ridiculous!!

I was talking to my boyfriend about that and I was looking at some items. There are upward of 20,000 PS3 listed on Ebay.

I watched one no one bid on it it did not sell. A lot of them don't sell.

So no people do not shell 20K for them. Maybe 2K if they do not look hard enough for a cheaper one.

Must be bogus postings, I don't think that even Bill Gates would pay that kind of money for a PS3.

Maybe, but someone would have to be an idiot to spend that amount. If they just wait a few months, it will be possible to buy all you want at the retail price.
