Infant Tylenol, and Hyland's Teething Tablets. The tablets disolve on baby's tounge, and they are all natural. They can be found at Walmart, or in the baby section at most grocery stores. I tried the teething rings for my son and he refused them. Some babies hate the cold.

I personally would not use orajel unless it was the nighttime one and at night. It makes the baby's mouth numb. I used with my kids and god-children either hyland teething tablets, infants Tylenol or the rubber bracelet with very close supervision. My sister was not keen on the idea until she tried it with my niece and it is a size that is easy for baby hands to handle and she told me the other day she went and bought some for my niece because they seemed to comfort her better than the teething rings. I would also recommend putting a soft damp wash cloth in the freezer for 30 minutes and let the baby chew on it.

Stop using the baby orajel this prodyct can cause damage to your baby's upcomig teeth. Use a teething ring make sure it is cold or frozing. You should also give in a childrens pain killer like the childrens tylenol or another pain killer. Also try putting a little honey on a piece of clean cloth, wrap it around your finger and allow him to chew on it to soothe and rub his gums. All of these things worked for me I hope they work for you too.
Good luck!!!

Orajel is wonderful but I would suggest frozen teething rings and ice. Also Tylenol Temp-Drops, they'll help relieve the pain.

Never ever ever give a baby under 1year old Honey. You run the risk of the baby getting sick with infant botulism. And whiskey is not a good solution either any amount of alcohol is bad for babies. Many mothers swear by hylands teething tabs. I would say give the baby a cold rag(one that is free of strings and nubs) to chew on and some baby Tylenol.

Rub whiskey on his gums...I'm serious, too. My mom did it with me and my siblings, as always showed friends of ours who's baby was teething the trick...just dip a finger into some whiskey and rub it on the baby's gums. I'm not talking about getting the baby drunk with a shot of booze or something...but the whiskey will sooth the gums better than Orajel or something. It won't hurt your baby or anything either, before people start saying that is child abuse or some crap like that....seriously, it works!!

i recommend switching between ibuprofen and another med so you baby's body dosn't get used to one or the other. I also heard useing baby orajel is hard on the gumms it makes it harder for the teeth to pop through.

I used to put a clean damp wash cloth in the freezer for a few minutes and then give it to him to chew on. The cold numb his gums I guess. I'm not really sure why he liked it but it seemed to sooth him for a bit.
