I have an assignment on a short story called Le Cauchemar due in less than 2 hours and I don't have the book and I can't find any info on it on the internet because the title is so vague and I don't know the name of the author. Has anyone heard of it? If so, could you tell me who the author is or the name of a character or something so I can get the info I need on Google?

Did it have anything to do with Darwin? I keep a lot of hits of Le Cauchemar de Darwin.....

Well, a Google search only turned up a poem
by Victor Hugo called "Le cauchemar" = The nightmare.
I couldn't find a short story by this title, however.

Never read it. But if this helps, the title is french for "The Nightmare".
