On my right hand side, at the front, about 2 inches below my ribcage.... What part of the body is that? (biology wasn't my strong point!)
It's been a couple of weeks now, and whatever it is feels really bruised, it wakes me up at night, if I lay on my right hand side and hurts when i move about.
What could it be?

It's hard to diagnose something via the internet because of the myriad of questions that run through my mind just reading what sypmtons you have. Do you have a fever? Does it radiate down? Have you lifted anything out of the ordinary that may have caused a pulled or strained muscle behind your ribcage? On a scale of one to ten, ten being the worst pain you have ever felt where do you classify your pain? If its bothersome and keeps you up at night without a fever present then I'm inclined to go with a muscle strain or sprain and would suggest heat and ice therapy but for your own peace of mind you might want to have it checked at your doctor's office or Urgent Care Center. You can try heat and ice 15 minutes on, 15 minutes off alternating and take an anti-inflammatory such as Ibuprofen every 4-6 hours as needed.

Hope this helps, good luck!

Your right side under your ribcage is your liver and gallbladder. Did you fall? When do you feel the pain the most? The least? Does it hurt worse after eating? If so, what in particular makes it hurt worse? Are there any other symptoms? Are there any signs of bruising? When is the last time you had a BM? If that is the case, go to the food store, in the baby food section, find the small 4 oz bottles of pear juice and drink half. Clears constipation quickly.

You have some major organs on your right upper/lower quadrant as you were describing, namely: liver, gallbladder, and appendix. I think you should see a doctor before you really get into some trouble or get an infection. I would guess you're having appendix or gallbladder problems. Either way, lay off of the fatty/spicey/fast foods and see a doctor. Godloveya.

This might be an appendix deal, time to visit the doctor and quickly. This thing is probably already bursted, if not it soon will be and it will be much harder to deal with then.

If that is incorrect you are still having some serious problems in the kidney and intestine area, both of which can have serious complications if left unchecked. Go to the doctor as soon as possible (I want you there five minutes ago, so you're late already, get on it).

Its probably a pulled muscle. if you've had it for a couple of weeks though and it hasn't improved, its worth going to the doctors to get it checked out.

Go to the doctors silly - no one on here can diagnose it for you - you need to be examined. Call the doctors now before it gets worse xxx
