Absolutely not! We used to have a huge family Christmas dinner and party (there were between 12-23 people each year)! It's great seeing everyone, but last year, I just decided that it'd be nice to just have a quiet, peaceful, relaxing holiday...it was perfect! There were 7 of us there, and we had more fun with just us few people than we did during any of the past Christmases. So, have fun and relax this year with a nice intimate Christmas with your family! Happy holidays and a VERY Merry Christmas!

For me personally, I love being with my family on Christmas and I also enjoy the amaizing feast we prepare because some of the dishes are specific to christmas and we look forward to them the whole year through (i.e. alaskan king crab legs, etc) so i dont think the restaurant thing would do it for me lol. but the main thing is that ur kids are happy with the idea. if they're happy then you should be all the more happy with ur decision. have a very merry christmas to you and your family :)

I think that is a great idea! I know that I love spending the holidays with other members of my family, but sometimes you just want to spend it with those that are so close to you and that you love so much. Hey! sometimes other relative can be a pain during the holidays. Don't feel badly about it other people feel the same as you every holiday season. :>
