Depends on the bag. For Louis Vuitton bags, the cutter of the leather will never disrupt the pattern. They do not scrimp on the leather so each piece is carefully cut to preserve the LV logo. But the fakeys are all about quantity, not quality. The fake "leather" materials will feel stiff, the zipper pulls may seem light. The stitching will be of a thread that will not seem to match properly, etc. High end designers spare no expense to get a bag just right. All details will be specific to that bag. Thread and pulls and bag rests will all be chosen with intent and be made of quality materials you can see and feel. That's part of the high expense. And never buy a bag priced way too good to be true. If you are Ebay-ing. Ask outright if it's real leather, ask if it's the authentic brand. They will usually skirt the question with tricky replies or answer "no" outright. If it's authentic, a legit seller would never let it go for a fractional amount knowing it's true worth.
