well the minimum to pay a vetran in the NBA is 1million. an average player, who doesn't play much is about that much or less. but if he's a key player on the team, and gets a good amount of minutes it could go up to about 5 mil a year.

If i recall, SI had an article on the average Joes of sports a year a go.
I think they said that the average basketball player makes 3 to 4 million a year
