many times it is not the individual that goes by the rule, but rather society does it for them. They tend to not have a say in how they are viewed by others. As wealthy & famous as they may be, at the end of the day they are still considered a n*****!

Just look at OJ & the 2 MJs (Jordan & Jackson). All of them were loved by all races. Jordan was rudely reminded of what he was when he was abruptly dismissed by Abe Pollin. No explanation, no reason, just "make sure you use the back door".

Michael Jackson is quite an oddity in this. Besides him just being an oddity, he defies this whole system because it is whites who are welcoming him with open arms, & blacks who are distancing from him & chastising him. Blacks are saying "you are strange & need to change what you are doing & the way you behave". & whites are saying, "its ok to sleep with young white children that are not yours." Regardless of the intent, language and/or symantics about this case, had he been anyone else of color than who he is, they would have been in jail long before! They would have been arrested on the roumor of it. Take R Kelly for example. Would you let your under age child sleep with him? Male or female? No, you wouldnt. Not only just because it would just simply not be appropriate for a grown man to be in bed with a child, but because he does not market himself to the white community, so whites rightfully want him in jail now & blacks dont, even though they saw the video & know that it is him. (check out the eppisode on the Chappell show that highlights that).

It must be something about getting one guilty person off the hook, to justify all those who are wrongly on it. Like OJ. Everyone knows that he either did it himself or has direct knowlege of who did. But blacks like an underdog. He left the black community long ago, and was wrapped up in the white world. That came to a halt when he went against them. The probably were not too happy he got in as far as he did, by marrying in. Now he is coming out with a book & interview that the publisher is calling a confession. Whites are outraged! Blacks are like, "wow, thats interesting". Not too much noise about it on the Afro-American side of things.

Michael Jacksons kids will always be treated white, so long as they know who thier daddy is. OJs kids will always be considered black for the same reason. Even though thier mothers are white.

So I feel that it is others who make mixed children choose who they are. Lets not forget what happened to Tigger Woods when he won the masters (the whitest game on earth!) & got to choose the menue for the next year. The white players were worried about fried chicken & collards being served. They did not let him forget he was part black & not part anything else.
