The deepest known spot on the planet is called the Challenger Deep, found at the bottom of the Mariana Trench east of the Philippine Islands in the Pacific Ocean. Sounding of the depths in the Mariana Trench measure 11,033 meters (36,198 feet). This is approximately 2180 meters (7152 feet) deeper than the tallest mountain on the Earth’s surface, Mount Everest (8,846 meters: 29,022 feet)!

3 miles is the deepest bit. humans can go down in a submarine about 1 and a half. pathetic really. we know more about space than our own oceans!
potentially at the bottom of the sea there could be animals 3 times the size of blue whales!

Depends how deep into the ocean you are.. could be shallow in some bits, extremely deep in others. Also lots of currents. I wouldn't imagine many creatures living where there's strong currents.

There could well be unknown creatures lurking in the sea.. We don't know..

Until mankind can developed a machine that can withstand the crushing pressures in the depth of the worlds oceans. You question may forever remain unknown. What we do know that compared to what we don't know can only leads to speculation that can be very far from the truth. Everyone knows that we have mountain ranges in our oceans that by far exceeds the highest mountain that we have on the surface of this earth but by how much still remains among the unknown.......................

It goes a long way and lurking at the bottom of it will probably be my mother-in-law and sister-in-law sitting on DavyJones's locker but I sometimes wonder if they are human.
