I'm looking for a website which provides a reliable P/E ratio data of funds and ETFs which is derived of their holdings' average so I can decide if a fund is cheap
or expensive based on its portfolio.
Yahoo finance has a screen for it but it is givining the P/E
based on the NAV of the equity and not on its portfolio so
in a way it could be misleading beacause a fund with
low P/E could have a portfolio with high P/E holdings.

you should try the holding company's web site
they can provide the salient numbers ...
for instance..
you can google "ishares.com" , "powershares.com" , or "amex.com" for most of the widely traded ETFs...
for others...look up the "parent" company...
most are run by Barclays, State Street, or AVZ

hope this helps
