how its seeming to turn into a giant advertisment of peoples personal websites and online business advertisements... i think yahoo should do something about it. People answer with their website, instead of a question.

I do not mind people advertising there website personally, sometimes they ask for opinions for people to check it out. There are a few conditions that I believe that are annoying.

Conditon 1: Multiple Spam Post.
When you ask people to check out the website that is fine, but I hate it when people create multiple account and flood the place with there website thinking that people will visit it. Honestly if they continue to spamm and being reported they will mysteriouslt start recieving spamm mail.

Conditon 2: Win money! Check this website out!
Honestly, this is the second most annoying post out there. I do not like the fact that they think they can use Yahoo to sign up for them to get referrals so they can get the free items. You know what I am talking about www.iamdesprate.com/referedbyme If you have no point in posting other then to get people to be refered by other people then honestly if the site you post has a anti spam policy then you will be reported.

Condtition 3: The site is Advertisment
Ok, it is nice of you to make a site and to get people to visit it, but honestly most sites I see are incomplete or just full of ads. Post your site when you are done to get an honest comment. All my times I have been here I have actually seen 2 completed sites and 2 sites that I actually think will work out.

Condition 4: Site is incomplete.
What excatly do they want us to do with the site. Most link doesn't work so the reputation is damaged and they ask us to help them make there site? If you have a site you are the webmaster. I honestly think that you should be able to at least complete the site then ask for help. That way it will prove you put effort into it.

As for yahoo, they should do something about the spamm advertisments. I do not know if they use bots. but the problem is maybe they are using proxies so they can not ban the specific IP addresses. I think they should create a website ban list so if people list there website it can be flaged and you can't post it.

I have not seen that personally. I do have a website but I don't ever mention it. I also am very pleased with Yahoo's services so I tout them quite often.

yes it does seem that way.and you can report abuse for any one that is spamming on here. Now as for a web site, I put links to web sites on here all the time,if it is related to the question.such as some one needing a good spyware program then i enter the site to the one I think is best.this is for there conveyance to get to the right site,if they choose to.
