The manner in which Pap smears are reported continues to change. The present method is the Bethesda System which is descriptive and must be interpreted by the physician. This leads to confustion. Certain high grade cellular changes may be pre cancerous and certain changes may represent cancer on a cell by cell basis. More information would be required to advise you on the meaning and follow up of high grade changes although such change should always be carefully followed.

It is possible...this is the reason we have to do paps in the first place. they will just have to check the cells again and make sure. I have had that 2 times, and it has turned out to be nothing.
