Immigrants? All Bad?

Question

I am of immigrant stock, half Assyrian(look em up!) and half British. Do people genuinely dislike ALL immigrants? Many people who come here, speak perfect English, fit in culturally and socially, and have good jobs or run their own businesses, thus creating employment...Unlike a fair number of true blood brits! There are 120,000 asian muslims who support terrorism against the uk living here, there is high crime caused by Somalis, Albanians and Kurds, and in urban areas with young Carribean men. There are many who wont learn english or fit in, and slag of british history, they should go elsewhere! But what of the rest of us? I'd rather deport Chavs and hoodies! What say u?

Of course immigrants aren,t bad. Just look at the improvement in British cuisine since the fifties . The influx of sub-continent asians and chinese and their influence on British food has been a godsend. There are of course a few nutcases and criminals amongst the latest lot of immigrants but overall the immigrant communities have been a very positive addition to the nation and we couldn't do without them.
Those' Carribean' men you complain about were born here for the most part and are british and if there is higher criminality amongst that population then there are complex historical and social factors to take into account.
People laughed at David Cameron and his notion of ' hug a Chav' and 'give them love' but I don't think he's far off the mark.....Chavs feel excluded from society and to some extent it's true , society does despise them....just look at you; you want to deport them .......

I'm with you on that one bruv, but a lots of those people are chavs because of bad parenting and poor education - who in their right mind would want to look like that, they have to be undereducated.

but racism (or just hating immigrants) is STANDARD in any country.

when the government needs to increase the labour market because the statistics say unemployment is low but job shortages are high....you increase immigration, THAT’S WHAT THEY DO!....the economy betters for it, the jobs are getting filled and people are being productive.....BUT.....wages do not tend to increase that much.

Since the late 90's the housing market has gone through the roof, but wages have stayed the same – which is even better!! (if your rich.)

Joe Bloggs is naturally going to be a bit disgruntled by that. I am, no problem with not liking the way your government handles the economy and immigration........but...

Not liking all immigrants is not an educated choice.

Some polish people has openly said there's too many polish people here. They are having trouble getting jobs and housing just because there are so many of them.

but no..they are not all bad...infact some of my mates shouldn't be here, and they are some of the nicest people i know.

What!! You get on your high horse and tell us all how great you are because you learn the culture and contribute to the economy, then slag off asians, somalis, albabians, kurds & afrocarribeans! And by the way - you are WRONG! These ethnic minorities are NOT responsible for most of the crime that happens - GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT!! As for chavs and hoodies - again, the vast majority of them are decent people who don not commit crimes, only a small minority persistently cause trouble. Stop making these ridiculous assumptions and find out the facts before you go spouting off!!

Not all immigrants are bad but as you said there is a large percentage that make no effort to fit in and its these fools that cause a lot of resentment.

You've said it all yourself in your question,these people come from their god forsaken country's and commit crime,support terrorism and want to turn Britain into the **** hole their country is

As for yourself if your telling the truth that you can speak English,work for a living and aren't hell bent on destroying our culture then I would say there would be no problem with you being here:)

Ohhhh I'm doing this in geography... Thankyou for asking this, it has helped me quite a bit :)

Without immigrants where would the NHS be? It would crumble. We would be eating the same food all the time without our diverse cuisine. Immigrants boost the economy, working for less pay than the locals...

As for remove the Chavs... That wont solve the problem, they need to suffer, to see the hard side of life maybe then they will appreciate this world more... Like 'Brat Camp'...

I don't know why people want to come here-there are other places that have better governments than we do. (Austria for one). My feeling is that ppl who want to get into this country illegally either by giving birth, marriage or crossing borders can't be trusted in any way. They are not an asset to our country.
Some countries won't let ppl in unless you can prove you have a viable occupation and will be a good citizen. Why aren't we asking for at least that much?

And I believe we have the right to protect our borders, I don't care what Mexico says. As well as Mexico should be improving its own economy instead of encouraging its citizens to come here to the great welfare state.

The problem is that we have too many immigrants in our small country, individual immigrants are not bad people per se but Blair has opened the gates wide open and is taxing the real Brits to death to pay for it

It's the ones that are coming here illegally and making their own rules, when we have had rules for over 200 years that we had to abide by, they are deciding to change them.
It is making our country very unstructured and insane.
It's their fault that it is getting so crazy and insane here, and they always want to blame others.
It's the country's with an over abundance of immigrants that we are mad at.
It is actually nice to see Europeans.

Immigrants feel that they have made a mistake leaving their own mother land. But so is life...have to bear those Natives who think that they have all the rights...but however the government has different opinion.

Most of us are immigrants - Saxons and Angles from Germany and Denmark, Celts from Portugal, Vikings from Norway and Denmark, Normans and Huguenots from France etc etc etc
