my last and final question on a take home test and it has had me stumped for a while:L
sin 3x = 3 sinx - 4sin^3 x

If anybody can show me or at leaslt lead the way, I would so greatly appreciate it! Thanks so much guys!

This is the triple angle formula. Do you need to derive it? Try substituting sin(2x+x) for sin3x . Then use angle sum identity for sin. Maybe that will get you started...

Since this is a take home test, I'm sorry, but you are on your own. It's cheating to let someone else do your test questions. Once you hand in the test, then ask the question again.
