Well you can put it in your pc, connect it like it's supposed to go and voila! Now if you're asking how to connect it "externally" to a pc (and I'm assuming you're talking about an IDE burner) then you get a IDE to USB adapter and connect it that way.

It's really simple. Only two connections will be needed. One is the IDE cable (a flat, usually gray ribbon cable that's about 2.5 inch wide) that will go to the back of your internal DVD drive and all the way to the IDE port of your motherboard. Take note of the notch in the end of the cable, coz you can't plug it upside-down. Second is the power supply cable, which is the usual 4-wire black, red ,black, yellow connector that is also needed to be connected at the port of your DVD drive. Keep in mind the shape of the connector and how it must be pugged in the correct socket. You're off to go!

it particularly is not that confusing to place in an inner burner. i'm assuming you're changing an latest tension, good? if so, use the gadget supervisor to uninstall the previous tension. Then close the computing gadget down and unplug it, and then eliminate the previous tension as quickly as you have have been given the case open (be careful to not drop the screws into the case), un-plug the connectors from the previous tension, and plug the connectors into the recent one. formerly you seal the case decrease back up, plug it decrease back in, and spot if domicile windows recognizes the recent hardware and precise installs the drivers for it. Then seal the case decrease back up. in case you think of you could cope with that, then get the indoors. If not, get an exterior, probably one with a USB feed. stable success.
