GOSH TOO RELAXED! The us prisons should operate like the ones in Texas... making money for the state. I say that illegals should not be in the same prisons as Americans, because they are not citizens and don't have the rights & freedoms that Americans have. I think if you are from another country and you commit a crime you should have more severe punishment. I believe that the death penalty scares offenders and I think people would commit less crimes knowing that they would die PAINFULLY if they hurt someone else. "Speed passes" for rapists and child molesters. I think a person that would Murder or hurt someone else this way would have to be insane, but i think that it's too late to get them treatment at nice fancy facilities after they have commited hanis crimes.

I think it depends. I know in a lot of prisons the guards as well as the other inmates are harsh and people get hurt all the time, but at the same time, we all know that Charles Manson has a Play Station, a TV, etc. in his cell so he's not having it too bad huh?

US maximum prisons are too relaxed murder's...get TVs in prison which is complete bull crap they are there to be punished for their crimes they should be locked in a room for the rest of their lives without TVs and no reading material but the bible ...it's BS that they can play card games and watch TV i heard some even have computer labs.....its pathetic

Much too relaxed, especially taking into consideration conditions of other prisons throughout the world!

Depends a lot on the prison and the crimes the inmates have committed. Generally, I think they are too relaxed, but that's just my opinion based on my feelings regarding appropriate punishment for certain crimes.

i believe it's too relaxed...there was a man who was poor and homeless and killed someone just to get into jail because it was better than living on the streets. personally, i htink prison needs to be MUCH MORE HARSH. I mean, they have sports, and weight lifting, and shows they get to go to, and TV in the cafeterias...that doesn't sound too big of a punishment to me.

Way to relaxed!! They have better treatment than our senior citizens who have to choose between food and their medications-when prisoners have both for free!!
