Total population = 85+120 = 205

Out of 205 surveyded: 120/205 = 0.5854 x 100 = 58.54% of people like OPM

Out of 1000.

0.5854x1000 = 585.4

Since you cannot have 0.4 of a person. Final answer is 585 out of 1000 like OPM

If there are 1,000 participants in the survey, and 120 preferred OPM, then you've already answered your question:

"How many prefer OPM?" = 120

Did you mean what percent prefer OPM? If so, then simply divide 120 by 1000 to get the answer:

120 ÷ 1000 = 12%

Hope that helped!

Your question says that 120 people prefer OPM. Why isn't that the answer ?
