My bath desperately needs to be re-enameled. Has anyone any experience of this? I really dont want to have to get my bath removed so can this be done with the bath in place? Also, any idea roughly how much this will cost? Finally, I live in Belfast so do you know of any companies who do it there?

Thanks.

You cannot re-enamel a bath .
IF you have a steel bath there are companies who respray baths in situ.
I suggest you try yellow pages or an internet search.
Good Luck

unless u hav an old rolltop bath thats worth money i would suggest u buy a new bath the finish of enamel spraying on old baths is not the best and it doesnt last long in my experience unless u remove bath and send off to a proper enamel shop the cost and hassle would put alot of ppl off but if ur still sure u want it enameled i suggest u get urself a large tin of enamel paint and a gloss roller read up on preparing the surface prior to painting on tin and on web and give it at least 4 coats of paint..good luck

You can't do a genuine re-enamelling 'cos enamelling involves molten glass. I think there are firms who will refurbish using resin based stuff but don't know how effective or costly it is.
When ours went we (reluctantly) got a new bath.
