What are astringents exactly? Are they same as toners?
There is this Astringent Toner by Olay skin care, is it recommended?
Is an age 18 girl still suitable to use Johnson's and Johnson's toner?

thin line between them. Astrigents are supposed to remove dirt, oil and makeup from skin. They usaully come in liquid form.Prolonged use they say, prevents bl;eackheads, and cne and the like from reoccurring. If you can help it, do without astrigents. I think they are more often that not, too harsh. Johnsons and Johnsons is mild though. A toner will balance out your skin tone.

Astringents remove oils and dirt from the skin. A toner replaces and balances the skin. I don't think that the age of the user matters. If the product works for you then go a head and use it.

it depends on your skin type. if your skin is oily, applying toner would be best so that your pores don't clog. but if your skin is dry, then the astringent two times a day AND cleansing in the morning will dry out your skin too much. if your skin is normal, i would recommend using only moisturizer in the morning and only toner at night.

toners and astringents are very harsh on the skin and will change your skins pH levels. i totally recommend witch hazel. I've been using it forever and nobody could ever guess that I'm 35 yrs old. every one thinks I'm 23. be gentle to your skin and it will be good to you.

They are the same thing. They both clear up the pores. If your skin is oily, do not use Olay. Stick with Johnson's!

A good one is sea breeze it leaves your face cold and fresh and removes dirt oil and makeup,and another one is witch hazel its good if you have oily skin it helps balance it out and can replace using soap.others that are great for your face is mint mask.
