You are very lucky that you were were accused of shop lifting as well, and I think that this is also what your parents are concerned about. For the time being I would let the dust settle and not mention your friend for a while. Then perhaps you could invite her over to your house so that she can get to know your parents and she can show them that she isn't a trouble maker.

However if they say no, then you will just have to respect their wishes

using fact this could be a civil count number, it won't bypass away whilst she turns 18. If she refuses to pay, they are in a position to document a lawsuit in small claims courtroom. in the event that they do, it could desire to have an detrimental impact on her credit status and could preclude her from getting any style of mortgage, including a pupil mortgage. Your pal have been given very fortunate they did not press costs and could evaluate taking great element approximately this. If she will pay, there will be no public record. If the document a lawsuit in small claims, it's going to be public record and could make it very not easy for her to get a job. Walmart won't grant the info at her call for. they'll in basic terms grant it in courtroom, and at that element it's going to be too previous due.

Why is it that you would want to remain friends with a person who has no respect for others property. She is not a good person. If you knew she was shoplifting you should have told her not to and if she didn't stop you should have dumped her right there. Are you so desperate for friends you have to aline yourself with such people? She is bringing you down, your parents are doing what good parents should do... guiding you. Listen to them.
